Many people feel that they cannot empathize with others, they notice anxiety< /a> when there are people they don’t know, are incapable of working as a team, or feel uncomfortable at certain social events. As a consequence, they tend to isolate themselves to avoid feeling the fear that anxiety produces and in some cases they begin to notice symptoms of depression. This makes it increasingly difficult to establish social relationships with other people (coworkers, friends of friends, and even family).
How can it be solved?
In order for these people to develop assertive communication skills and therefore improve their social skills, it is necessary for them to practice in small groups led by a professional who advises them.
In our center every Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. or Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 20:00 we hold a workshop in which students develop and put into practice various social skills such as empathy, active listening, communication (verbal and non-verbal), public speaking, etc.
All of them are necessary so that they can develop adequately in the personal, professional and social spheres. That is why it is recommended for all types of people and ages, especially for those who notice or feel some difficulty when relating to others.
The objective of these workshops is to enhance these skills, to make them feel integrated into a group, improving their self-esteem and to be able to enjoy a pleasant time in society.
